I Enjoy Every Minute of Being a Firefighter

I became a Firefighter because as long as I can remember that was the only thing that I ever thought about.
Both my Father and Stepfather were firefighters. I guess you could say it's in my blood.
I joined 2 different volunteer companies in Connecticut, however, things weren't working out in my life and I had to quit. I moved to Tennessee and tried again, and yet again life said it wasn't time. Almost a year ago I took the First Responder class in my county and joined the Fire Department.
It has been a wonderful experience.
No two days are the same, no two calls are the same. I enjoy every minute, the ups and downs, the hard calls and the easy ones. The best part of my job is knowing that I can go to bed at night having done my best to help someone today. I tried my best and gave my all.
It almost comes naturally to me, the tones, the running, the scenes. I live and breathe emergency response. I have never been happier in my life. I have finally found who I am.
