Firefighter

Ever since I was 6 or 7 years old,I have wanted to be a firefighter. My neighbor's dad was a local firefighter and I would always watch him when the siren would blow and thought it was amazing.
A few years later their house caught on fire and I watched in horror the whole thing, but the thing that stuck out the most to me was the "Brotherhood" and camaraderie that was shown by each member of his and surrounding companies that were there that night, helping one of their own in a time of need.
I wanted to be a part of that.
As of today, I am 28 years old and have been an active member of the Fire Dept. for 12 years now. I love every aspect of the title of Firefighter, from helping others, to the every day training. I would or could not ever see myself wanting to do anything else.
